Students at Rose Acres Elementary School had a school-wide fitness goal of completing 23,600 laps on the PACER test which would cover the distance from the school to the Gateway Arch. The landmark goal before that was to complete 22,400 laps which got them to Busch Stadium. Last week, Fredbird surprised the students and was on hand to celebrate with them at the Pirate PACER Party assembly.- Category: District
Students from Pattonville’s elementary schools and Remington Traditional School participated in the annual Districtwide Elementary Mark Twain Book Battle today at the Learning Center. The Rose Acres Winterborne Warriors team won the event. The Willow Books from Willow Brook Elementary and the Millionaires for the Battle from Bridgeway Elementary School finished second and third place, respectively.
The Book Battle is a trivia-type competition hosted by Pattonville's school library technology specialists. During the event, teams of students compete on their knowledge of a predesignated list of books. Students must answer questions with the book title and author to earn full points.

Students from Pattonville School District participated in the Missouri National Education Association’s (MNEA) Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Essay-Poster Contest. The theme for this year was “Fulfilling Dr. King’s Dream: Reading to Lead and Transform.” Four students placed in the state competition after winning at the district level.
