Congratulations to the Pattonville High School varsity and junior varsity drill team programs for their performances at UDA camp hosted at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis.
Varsity got first place with their home routine performance along with a Superior trophy and also received the Leadership Award that was voted on by other teams. The JV team also earned first place with their home routine performance along with a Superior trophy.
Individually, VDT members Kaylee Cofer and Sabrina Vargas were both selected to the Senior All-American team, and two drill team members were selected by UDA staff or a member from another team to receive the Pin It Forward award. This award is given to individuals who show outstanding leadership, communication and maturity. They were JV team member Amaya Hinga and varsity team member Zaria Purvey who received two Pin It Forward awards.
This year’s varsity drill team roster includes seniors Kaylee Cofer and Sabrina Vargas; juniors Zaria Purvey, Nicole Cobbs and Lily Norman; and sophomores Kaycee Carman, Reilly Edmonds, Elijah Davis, Skyler McCaa and Hannah Fisbeck. The varsity team is coached by Lindsey Schaefer and assistant coach Anise Glenn.
The JV team includes juniors Aeriana Woodard and Amaya Hinga; sophomores Taylor Volmert, Sophia Knize and Kailey Mason; freshmen Shreeya Verma, Mackenzie Miller, Aliya Curry and Jordyn Powers; and is coached by Kate Deegan and assistant coach Grace Bowman.
