Board Actions
The board of education on Dec. 13:
- Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s alternative education program; read the report or view the presentation;
- Approved paying $987,856.65 for regular bills;
- Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for November 2022;
- Approved paying $749,404.26, for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $7494.05);
- Approved curriculum course change recommendations for the 2022-2023 school year;
- Adopted the instructional materials for K-12 science education instruction at a cost of $504,020;
- Adopted the instructional materials for 6-12 technology education instruction at a cost of $46,000;
- Lodged for action revisions to policies EEA (Student Transportation Services), EEAB (School Bus Scheduling and Routing), GCP-R (Voluntary Termination of Employment Professional Staff), IGBG (Homebound Instruction), IGC (Extended Instructional Program), IGCA-R (Summer School Procedures) and JFCC (Student Conduct on School Transportation), and the rescission of policies IF-R-2 (New Course/Program Development and Adoption), IFA-R (Deletion of Courses/Programs), IGBG-R (Homebound Instruction Procedures), IGCA (Summer Schools), IIA-R (Textbook Selection and Adoption), IIAB (Supplementary Instructional Material Selection and Adoption), IICA-R (Field Trips), IKA-R (Grading Procedures), IKAD (Parent Conferences) and IKB (Homework); a vote is expected during the Jan. 10 board meeting;
- Approved paying $2,712.50 to Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan & Jackstadt for legal services;
- Approved, as lodged for action on Nov. 8, 2022, the revisions to policy IGDA;
- Awarded the bid for trash liners to Dutch Hollow Supplies for $57,435;
- Approved the renewal of the Imagine Odysseyware Software Agreement with Imagine Learning for Sept. 1, 2022, through Sept. 31, 2023, for $15,000;
- Awarded TVsetdesigns.com LLC to provide the set design upgrade and installation for Pattonville High School's TV studio for $17,652;
- Approved the bid for the TV Studio Digital Upgrade to two companies: Modern Communications, Inc., for training and maintenance for $192,668; and Cine Services, Inc., for lighting for $80,903;
- Awarded Piper Sandler & Co. as the firm to serve as municipal advisor to the district for a period of five years; and
- Approved the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Contract Amendment with S.M. Wilson & Co.
