The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) announced on Friday that Pattonville School District’s chief communications officer Kelly Gordon, APR, was selected as a member of its 2022-2023 “35 Under 35” class, presented in partnership with Rhodes Branding. NSPRA's 35 Under 35 program recognizes school public relations professionals who are making a difference for their school districts or education-related employers.
“This year’s class of 35 Under 35 honorees are truly remarkable,” said NSPRA Executive Director Barbara M. Hunter, APR. “As emerging leaders in our field, they represent the future of our profession and have proven to be champions in advancing school public relations excellence.”
Gordon is a 2006 Pattonville graduate and has been in her current role since July 1. She previously served as community relations specialist in Pattonville’s school-community relations department since 2010 and in 2018, she took on added responsibilities as secretary to the Pattonville Board of Education. Gordon holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in media communications from Webster University. She also has minor degrees in photography and mass communications, as well as a professional writing certificate from Webster.
NSPRA will recognize each award recipient with a profile piece in upcoming issues of its monthly Member Memo e-newsletter to association members as well as on its website and social media channels. Honorees will also be recognized at the NSPRA 2023 National Seminar in St. Louis in July.
