Board Actions
The board of education on April 11:
- Heard updates from the district's safety, facilities and audit committees;
- Approved the district financial audit for the 2021-2022 school year; view the presentation;
- Reviewed an update on the proposal to add a student representative on the board; view the presentation;
- Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s community relations program; read the report or view the presentation;
- Approved paying $1,492,522.56 for regular bills;
- Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements through March 2023;
- Approved paying $336,325.89, for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $3,363.26);
- Approved, as lodged for action on March 14, the revisions to policies ADF (Pattonville School District Wellness Program), BDDF (Voting Method), BDDL (Release of Information), EBC (Emergency Plans and Drills), and GCJ (Professional Staff Work Schedules), and the rescission of policies GCL-R-1 (Leave of Absence for Attendance at District-Supported Conferences of State, Regional/National Professional Organizations), GCLM (Professional Staff Workshops and Conferences), and GCLM-R (Professional Staff Workshops and Conferences);
- Approved the purchase of SchoolMessenger service from Intrado Interactive Services Corporation, d/b/a SchoolMessenger, for July 2, 2023, through July 2, 2026, for $36,173.46;
- Approved the purchase of SchoolMessenger chat service from Intrado Interactive Services Corporation, d/b/a SchoolMessenger, for July 1, 2023, through July 1, 2026, for $14,252.16;
- Approved the purchase of Apple professional learning services from Apple. Inc., for $39,000;
- Approved the statement of work/contract for customized professional learning for the 2023-2024 school year with Institute of Personalized Learning, a division of Cooperative Educational Services Agency 1 (CESA 1), for $22,580 plus travel expenses;
- Approved the renewal of math Dreambox licenses for June 30, 2023, through June 29, 2024 for $54,940;
- Approved the renewal of reading plus Dreambox licenses from Dreambox Learning for Aug. 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024, for $11,468;
- Approved the agreement for Skillful Observation and Meaningful Feedback Coaching Labs for the 2023-2024 school year to Patty Corum LLC, for $40,000;
- Approved the purchase of internet service from Morenet for a year for a three-year term, from July 1, 2023, through July 1, 2026, for $51,750;
- Awarded the bid for network equipment upgrade to Provision Data Solutions in the total amount of $996,012; this equipment is eligible for E-Rate funds and, if approved at the 80% reimbursement rate, the estimated cost to the district will be $199,202.40;
- Awarded the bid for boiler replacement at Drummond Elementary School to GRP/Wegman Company for $126,145;
- Awarded the proposal for wireless network review and recommendation to wireless training solutions in the total amount of $68,530; and
- Awarded the guaranteed energy savings performance contract and energy management services to Schneider Electric; the final contract amount will be determined after the firm completes an investment grade audit, but the estimated award is between $3,000,000 and $4,000,000.
