The human resources and teaching and learning departments partnered and created a Support Staff Leadership Academy. Today was the last meeting of the year. 

The goals of the program were to enhance the leadership skills of all support staff leaders, create a network for support staff leaders, support leaders to build dynamic teams and provide leaders with tactical skills to support challenges that may arise. 

This year, the comprehensive program allowed members to gather once a month and spend time learning ways to best support the teams they lead. 

The Leadership Academy also included guest speakers with different expertise levels.

“[Director of elementary education] Dr. Montize Aaron and I have enjoyed facilitating the Support Staff Academy,” director of human resources Candice Wayne said. “Members have worked hard over the past months learning, collaborating and focusing on enhancing their leadership skills.”
