In response to the forecasted extreme temperatures in the afternoon this week, a temporary adjustment has been made to the dismissal times for all students at Remington Traditional School, the middle schools and Pattonville High for Wednesday, Aug. 23; Thursday, Aug. 24; and Friday Aug. 25.
This adjustment is designed to provide our bus drivers with additional time between routes, allowing them to cool off and rehydrate between routes during these challenging weather conditions.
While our students typically spend 15 to 20 minutes on the bus during their commute, our bus drivers can be on the road for up to three hours when running routes for high school, middle school and elementary school levels. Given the forecasted heat, we believe these adjustments are necessary to ensure the safety of both our students and staff members. The adjusted dismissal times are as follows:
