ALPHA students visually learn about the skeletal system in a fun way

ALPHA teacher Nancy Brennan found a “humerus” way to teach her students anatomy. Brennan wore an outfit she got from her daughter that visually shows exactly where each bone is situated in the body.

Drummond second grader Mesa Baczynski said it was an interesting way to teach the lesson.

“We learned more than we usually do at school because she made it fun.”

First and second ALPHA students have been working through this unit when they attend class at Holman Middle School.
“We’ve done a bunch of activities with the skeletal system including making a spine model,” Brennan said. “We’ve also studied the muscular, respiratory and digestive systems and will learn more about the circulatory system later.”
