Thanks to our incredible students and staff, we’ve had a successful transition this week bringing back our PreK-2 students enrolled in the in-person learning option. As we have mentioned in previous communications, our intention is to bring other students into our classrooms for in-person learning as soon as possible. In consultation with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, we have determined it is safe to bring back students in third through eighth grade for phase 2 of in-person learning. We will continue to work with the health department on a return to phase 2 for high school students and hope to have an update to share with families in the next week or two.
Rose Acres Elementary School has been named a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. Rose Acres was one of only seven schools in the state of Missouri to receive this honor and the only elementary school in St. Louis County. The National Blue Ribbon Schools program recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Rose Acres and the other recognized Missouri schools all met the criteria for Exemplary High Performing Schools, which means they are among their state’s highest performing schools as measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests. Only 367 schools across the U.S. were recognized this year as a National Blue Ribbon School.
PHS Parent Teacher Conferences will take place via Zoom video conferences on Wednesday, October 7 from 4:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, October 8 from 4:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Each conference will be limited to 8 minutes. Teachers will utilize a waiting room for their meetings and will only admit a student or parent name who registered and only at their assigned time. Make sure you enter the parent name who will be attending the conference when you register.
After you register and sign up for time slots, you will receive email confirmations with the Zoom links. You will also receive an email reminder 2 days prior to the day of your scheduled conference. Use pirates (all lowercase) for a password, if prompted.
How to register:
To register for a single conference with a single teacher, go to https://www.myconferencetime.com/pattonvillehigh. On the home screen, select the department and teacher that you would like to schedule a conference with and choose an available time slot.
To register for multiple conferences at the same time:
In the yellow box below conference schedules, click "Register for Multiple Time Slots."
Choose the number of students that you have in your family at Pattonville High School.
Fill in all required information and any necessary optional information and click “Sign Up for Your Conference.” Please be assured that all information is submitted securely and will only be used by the school for confirmation purposes. It will not be available to outside sources.
For each student, select the teachers you would like to meet with.
Choose the date and then select the conference times with each of your selected teachers.
You will receive a confirmation email confirming your conference times.
The website will open for sign-ups Friday, September 25th at 7:00 a.m. Please be aware that this system is set up in a way that everyone will have the same priority in scheduling. If you have a need for a specific time, it will be important that you schedule as soon as possible once the window opens to ensure the availability of conference times.
If you need assistance setting up conference(s), contact Debbie Jansen at 314-213-8551.
