Community Service Opportunities
-The City of St. Ann needs volunteers for the 4th Annual Winterfest, Sat. Dec 3, at Tiemeyer Park. Volunteers can hang Christmas lights in the morning, 9am-1pm, or help with the event, 5pm-9pm. Stop by the CSO E200 to sign up!

-PHS District Technology Specialists are organizing a Maker Faire, Wed. Dec. 7, 3pm-6pm, to give teachers a chance to make some holiday items and socialize with other teachers in the district. They are in need 3-5 volunteers to help with childcare during the event. Please stop by the CSO E200 to sign up
-Community Service Reminder....ALL summer and 1st semester hours are due to the CSO by Dec. 22nd.
Hours completed this past summer and 1st semester will not be accepted if turned in after Dec. 22nd.
Staff and students that want to Donate to the toy drive to help Pattonville Fire Station #1 there is a box outside Mrs. Luraschis office where you can place them. Has to be new or unwrapped toys

Bridgeway Elementary School administrative intern Leslie Jones was selected as a recipient of the 2022 Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award. The annual program recognizes St. Louis area instructors, selected by their schools’ administrators, for their accomplishments and dedication to their students and the teaching profession. Jones received an engraved crystal apple from Tiffany & Co., along with additional prizes.

Thermo Fisher Scientific encourages its colleagues to participate in STEM education outreach in their local communities. Science classes at Holman Middle School had employees from the manufacturing plant in Berkeley visit and lead a STEM-based project with students on Nov. 17.
“It was really fun and I learned a bunch of new vocabulary words,” seventh grader Esmeralda Vargas said.
