Fifth graders in Carrie Heine’s class at Rose Acres Elementary raised $400 during their Market Day event and donated all the proceeds to Loaves and Fishes, a local charitable organization.
Heine teaches the students using a project-based learning method and recently completed a unit about personal and business finance. Through their learning journey, they also learned about philanthropy.
As we begin our second half of the school year, we are excited to see students and staff back in our classrooms, even as the COVID-19 pandemic dominates the news and requires continued precautions. Our goals remain to keep our schools open and to protect the health and well-being of our students and staff. Our board-established safety net requiring all schools with positivity rates of 2% or higher to wear masks has been activated at all schools, and we continue to work with the county health department on protocols regarding positive cases. As we move forward, here are a few important things to know:
Pattonville High School graduates Kaleb Eleby and Marquis Hayes Jr. announced on social media this week they will be entering the 2022 NFL Draft which starts on Thursday, April 28, and will continue through Saturday.
So will the former Pirates become Buccaneers? Or at least continue wearing green with the Packers, Jets or Eagles? Who do you want them to play for?
The Dodgeball Tournament is back and will be January 28th at 6pm. Sign up can be found on the student service page on canvas or posted on flyers around the school. Each team must include 5 boys, 5 girls and one teacher. Registration is $5. Registration forms and fees are due on January 21st.
Tutoring for the second semester will begin Monday, Jan 10th.

Feb 7th field trip to visit 3 skilled trade training programs including electricians, carpenters, welders, and sheet metal workers. All grades are welcome.
Jan 25th college trip to visit MO University of Science and Technology and State Technical College. Juniors/Seniors only.

Students that have SEE guidance” on their schedule, will need to report to guidance during that class
period only.
Schedule Change requests will only be approved if the student has been academically misplaced, an example of this would be if the student has failed a prerequisite course or have already successfully completed the course. All other schedule change requests will be denied.
