Six Pattonville High School students were among 20 St. Louis-area high school students chosen through local auditions to participate in the Opera Theatre of St. Louis' highly selective Artists in Training (AIT) program.
Juniors Da'Shon Dunn, Kenedi Jenkins, Jahlil Johnson and Sarah Nelson, and seniors Hannah Radican and Alyssa Van Hooser were picked for the program while junior Javan Williams was selected as an alternate. Their choir teachers at Pattonville are Tracy Baker and Melynda Lamb.

The Pirates in Mr. Matt Loyet’s sixth grade social studies class participated in a treasure hunt today. Using specific coordinates and satellite mode on Apple Maps, they went outside and looked for gold coins Loyet had hidden around Holman Middle School.
“We’re doing a geography unit to start the year off right now and we’re learning about latitude and longitude,” he said. “I just thought this was a good way to have them use what they learned.”
