Pattonville is receiving a second round of federal COVID-19 relief funds to support schools being operational during the global pandemic. Pattonville is using the federal funds to support its health and safety mitigation efforts in its schools.
Surprise visits took place around Pattonville School District on April 1 and 5 as finalists were announced for the 2020-2021 Teacher and Support Staff of the Year awards. Winners of the inaugural Rookie of the Year Award were also revealed.
While many sports fans are paying attention to basketball teams, Kim Dickinson’s second graders at Drummond Elementary have been focused on books as part of March Book Madness.
March Book Madness is a March Madness-style reading tournament. Participants determine the best book of 16 new titles chosen from various Best of 2020 lists. Readers vote for their favorite books and the titles advance through the bracket over the course of two months.
The Pattonville High School boys basketball team finished the 2020-2021 campaign as the undefeated Suburban Conference (Red Division) and Class 6 District 5 champions. Several players and head coach Kelly Thames earned individual recognitions for the season.

Hannah Hope, a fifth grader from the Program for Exceptionally Gifted Students (PEGS) at Rose Acres, won first place in the fifth through eighth grade category in the National Poison Prevention Week video contest and received a $100 prize.
