Update from the superintendent

Published: 25 September 2020

Dear Pattonville families,

Thanks to our incredible students and staff, we’ve had a successful transition this week bringing back our PreK-2 students enrolled in the in-person learning option. As we have mentioned in previous communications, our intention is to bring other students into our classrooms for in-person learning as soon as possible. In consultation with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, we have determined it is safe to bring back students in third through eighth grade for phase 2 of in-person learning. We will continue to work with the health department on a return to phase 2 for high school students and hope to have an update to share with families in the next week or two.

Rose Acres Elementary named National Blue Ribbon School

Category: District
Published: 24 September 2020

Rose Acres Elementary School has been named a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. Rose Acres was one of only seven schools in the state of Missouri to receive this honor and the only elementary school in St. Louis County. The National Blue Ribbon Schools program recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Rose Acres and the other recognized Missouri schools all met the criteria for Exemplary High Performing Schools, which means they are among their state’s highest performing schools as measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests. Only 367 schools across the U.S. were recognized this year as a National Blue Ribbon School.
