Starting Monday All Students Must Be Logged Into Zoom

Category: Holman
Published: 10 September 2020
Starting on Monday, September 14th the district is going to require all Pattonville students to be logged into their school Zoom and Google accounts in order to access ALL teacher’s Zoom meetings. This is being done to prevent any "outside interference" from users outside the district. Some teachers may already be require logging in. In order for you to be able to access all your teacher’s meetings you need to open the Zoom app on your iPad and make sure you are signed in with SSO (Single Sign On). The short video below demonstrates the process. Please make sure you have done this before Monday to prevent any issues attending class.

Published: 09 September 2020

Pattonville High School seniors Maya Blumenthal and Jordyn Lodes were named semifinalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program and have an opportunity to continue in the National Merit Scholarship competition.

Over 1.5 million juniors in about 21,000 high schools entered the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which served as an initial screen of program entrants. The nationwide pool of semifinalists, representing less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. Only about 16,000 out of the initial 1.5 million earned semifinalist status.

Important update from the Superintendent

Category: District
Published: 09 September 2020

Dear Pattonville families and staff,

As we have mentioned in previous communications, our intention is to bring students into our classrooms for in-person learning as soon as possible. In consultation with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, we have determined it is safe to bring students in preschool through second grade (PreK-2) back for phase 2 of in-person learning. Early childhood will begin on Monday, Sept. 21, and K-2 will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 22. We hope to expand in-person learning to other students as soon as possible. County health officials shared today that children ages 5 to 9 currently have a significantly lower positivity rate for COVID-19 than children ages 10 and up. The county health department continues to recommend virtual instruction for middle and high school students, who make up the bulk of new youth cases in St. Louis County.

Important meal service update

Category: News
Published: 04 September 2020

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently approved extending the meal program the district offered over the summer until Dec. 31 or until funding runs out. The meal service is open to all children 18 years of age and under. No ID or paperwork is required to participate. The program is designed to ensure students have access to healthy meals while school is not in session.

Distribution will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays (excluding holidays) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pattonville Learning Center. On Wednesday, Sept. 9, meals will also be provided from 4 to 6 p.m. This expanded pickup time is a trial only and a decision will be made later on its continuation.
