Maintenance department installing custom-made barriers

The maintenance department has been working this summer to provide the necessary equipment to keep students and faculty safe. On July 24, they installed custom-made clear plexiglass barriers at Bridgeway Elementary School and will travel to the other schools in the district later this summer.

July 28 board of education meeting to take place in person

The Pattonville Board of Education meeting on July 28 will take place in person at 7 p.m. at the Pattonville Learning Center. The board, staff and all others in attendance must wear a face mask at all times while in the building. Physical distancing will be followed during the meeting, with all attendees seated six feet apart. To ensure physical distancing, in-person attendance will be limited to 50 people. If the number of guests exceeds 50, an overflow room will be available.

As the district continues to plan and prepare for the 2020-2021 school year, teachers at Pattonville High School attended an in-person extended learning opportunity today to be trained on Canvas, the new learning management system for students.

Pattonville High School recognizes Top 10 in Class of 2020

Pattonville High School announced and recognized the school’s Top 10 seniors based on grade point averages during the graduation ceremony on July 16 at The Family Arena. The high school presented the Top 10 seniors with T-shirts from the universities they will attend after graduation. These students have grade point averages (GPAs) that fall between a 4.5 and a 4.8 on a 5-point weighted scale.

Important message regarding learning options for 2020-2021 school year

Dear Pattonville families,

Many of our families have been watching the news and waiting to hear what the new school year will look like in the midst of a global pandemic that has no immediate end in sight. Today, I share with you plans we have been developing throughout the summer months that are designed to keep the learning going for our students, no matter the health conditions in the community. The 2020-2021 school year will not be like any school year we have experienced in our lifetimes. Providing meaningful learning opportunities while attending to the health and safety needs of our students and staff will challenge all of us, but our commitment remains to both priorities.

Senior speakers read speeches at in-person graduation

Congratulations to the 426 graduates of the Pattonville High School Class of 2020! The district held its 84th annual commencement at The Family Arena on July 16 where students were honored with individual recognition and awards. Two students, Zoe Wallace and Momo Kikuchi, were the two featured Senior Speakers.
