It’s staff appreciation week this week. There are staff appreciation cards at tables in the Commons and the Guidance Office where you can fill a card out and give it to a staff member.

 

Pattonville High School is organizing a team to join the upcoming NAMI Mental Health Walk. The walk will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9:30am-12:30pm at Creve Coeur Park - Tremayne Shelter. Sign ups will take place this week during lunches. There's no cost to participate, but we will have t-shirts on sale for those interested..

 

Did you preorder a yearbook? Yearbook distribution begins Tuesday, May 14 during all lunches. You can pick yours up at the concession stand in the commons. Not sure if you ordered a book? Check the list posted outside B107. Limited copies will be available for sale for $70.

 

Still need to buy a Mother's Day gift? Spanish Honor Society has you covered! For the rest of this week, Spanish Honor Society will be selling hand-woven bracelets, or ‘pulseras’ in Spanish, to empower the artists who make them in Nicaragua & Guatemala. The sale was organized through the Pulsera Project, a Fair Trade nonprofit organization that empowers and educates people in the U.S. and Central America through pulsera sales. You can find them out in the commons during all lunch shifts this week. Bracelets sell for $5, and bags sell for $15. You can pay with cash, check, or Venmo

 

Senior All-Night Party 2024! Immediately following graduation Thursday, May 23 at 10:30pm thru Friday May 24 at 4:30am. Come celebrate with your classmates one last time here at PHS. There will be plenty of food all night long, prizes, swimming, karaoke, laser tag, game truck and more! Tickets are $25 (cash only) and can be purchased during all lunches May 6-May 17. All school fees must be paid to purchase.

Students this is a reminder that you need to please "Sign In" at the officers desk in the front lobby when you are late and you need to "Sign Out", on the iPad in the attendance office.

PHS named national PLTW distinguished school

Logo for PLTW Distinguished High Schools awardPattonville High School has been recognized as a 2023-2024 Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Distinguished School. It is one of just 291 high schools across the U.S. to receive this honor for providing broad access to transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW programs (computer science, biomedical science, engineering). PLTW is a nonprofit organization that serves millions of pre-K through 12th grade students and teachers in more than 12,200 schools across the U.S. This is the fifth time and fourth straight year Pattonville has received this award.

In its 58th year, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete program honors one student from every area school, a requirement being that they participate in athletics and excel in the classroom.

High school holds Decision Day on May 7

Pattonville High School held its own special version of Decision Day on May 7, coinciding with National College Decision Day which was on May 1. Pattonville's celebration extended beyond college decisions to honor all seniors and their post-graduation plans, whether it involves college, trade school, military service, apprenticeships or entering the workforce.
