It’s staff appreciation week this week. There are staff appreciation cards at tables in the Commons and the Guidance Office where you can fill a card out and give it to a staff member.

 

Pattonville High School is organizing a team to join the upcoming NAMI Mental Health Walk. The walk will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9:30am-12:30pm at Creve Coeur Park - Tremayne Shelter. Sign ups will take place this week during lunches. There's no cost to participate, but we will have t-shirts on sale for those interested.

Attention current and Future Student Leaders! If you would like to find out more information about a student leadership opportunity at PHS next year, join us in the auditorium during Homeroom on May 7th.  PHS will begin a program called Link Crew, which is offered at many high schools nationwide.  It is a mentoring program designed to improve the climate and culture of the school.  You must be a current 10th or 11th grader to participate. Community service hours, Minimal time requirement outside of the school day and calendar,and looks great for post-high school applications

A+ tutoring opportunities for the summer are posted on the PHS website. Spots are limited!

 

Students interested in applying to be a PHS A+ tutor or office worker for next school year can apply now on the PHS website. 

 

Seniors: Join us today during all lunches for the annual Decision Day Celebration. We will celebrate ALL seniors and your future plans. Wear a shirt representing your college, military, skilled trades, your future career or wear your favorite Pirate gear. 

 

Seniors: Remember to complete your Senior Survey on PowerSchool by May 8th. This information is needed for graduation and Senior Awards Night. See Mrs. Luraschi if you have any questions.

 

Senior All-Night Party 2024! Immediately following graduation Thursday, May 23 at 10:30pm thru Friday May 24 at 4:30am. Come celebrate with your classmates one last time here at PHS. There will be plenty of food all night long, prizes, swimming, karaoke, laser tag, game truck and more! Tickets are $25 (cash only) and can be purchased during all lunches May 6-May 17. All school fees must be paid to purchase.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Pattonville Bowling Team. Pattonville competed in the Missouri State Scratch Bowling tournament on Saturday in Benton Missouri. Winning 16 or their 21 games, Pattonville placed 3rd out of 19 teams, and took home $1800 in Scholarship Money.  GO PIRATES.

PHS student wins 2023 Congressional App Challenge

Sai Dorasani is shown displaying information about her app at her table with Congresswoman Cori Bush.U.S. Representative Cori Bush named senior Sai Dorasani as the winner of the 2023 Congressional App Challenge for the 1st District of Missouri. Dorasani earned the honor for Envo Recycling, an image recognition app for a trash can that helps people decide whether to compost, recycle or trash an item with a snap of a camera. The app can recognize specific items, including an envelope, water bottle, apple or plastic bag and state where to put each item.

It’s Prom week! Show your spirit by dressing up today is Board Game Day, Tuesday 4/30- Summer vs Winter, Wednesday 5/1- Fav Fairytale Character Day, Thursday 5/2- Pajama Day, Friday 5/3- Mis Match Day

Color Guard Tryouts will start today at 6pm in the commons.  All students are welcome to tryout. We are looking for 30-40 students to join us and the Pride of Pattonville Marching Band for their upcoming competition season. No experience is necessary. You will be taught all the skills you need to succeed. Please wear comfortable clothes- No jeans.
