Pattonville High School senior Dannielle Henderson and junior LaMiyah Martin won medals at the Missouri Association of SkillsUSA East District competitions held at Ranken Technical College and St. Louis Community College. Both students attend North Technical High School and will advance to the state championships that will take place March 30 to April 1.

Biomedical students in Jamie Jobe and Megan Kemper’s science classes learned from 13 graduate students from Washington University in St. Louis during a research showcase in the Pattonville High School library.
“I have partnered with Dr. Spencer Lake's musculoskeletal research lab in the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis for the past two school years,” Jobe said. “He received a grant from the National Science Foundation and part of that is to partner with high school students and expose them to biomedical research, and because of that, I have been able to take my seniors to Washington University to see research in action.”
The Pattonville Board of Education on Feb. 14 approved an updated strategic plan for the district following a months-long process involving parents, students, community members, staff and area leaders. The plan, or CSIP (Comprehensive School Improvement Plan), focuses on ensuring all students become success-ready graduates and planning for and addressing any critical issues that may arise in the areas of facilities, finances, safety and staffing. Each school provided feedback on the district CSIP plan and met independently to create a building plan. Those are expected to be completed at the Feb. 21 district CSIP meeting. The traditional National Signing Day took center stage on Wednesday as student-athletes from Pattonville High School were able to lock up scholarships and sign National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers.
Joined by their coaches, family and friends, 17 Pattonville High School student-athletes made a commitment to play a sport at the next level during an event hosted in the main gym on Feb. 1.
