Our PHS PTO needs volunteers to fill volunteer positions for our 2nd home varsity football game, this Friday Sept 1st. Stop by the CSO E200 to sign up! 

 

All LGBTQ+ students and their allies are welcome to join GSA, the Gender and Sexuality Alliance.  Club meetings will be on Wednesday afternoons this year, starting today, August 30.  Come to room G 206 at 2:30.  We will dismiss in time for you to catch the 4:30 activity bus.  See you today

Science National Honor Society applications are now available from the rack outside of room F216.  Both the application and the recommendation form are due no later than September 16.  See Mrs Byrne in F216 with any questions.

 

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Applications for Rho Kappa, the national social studies honor society, are available in Mr. Crockett's room, D211.

 

National English Honor Society applications are due by Thursday August 31 at 2:30 PM. See your English teacher for more information and an application form. If you have questions, talk to Ms. Raymond in D115 or Ms. Wills in D101. 

 

 

The Bowling Club will be meeting today from 3:30 to 5:00 at KingPin lanes. New Bowlers are welcome. Contact Mr. Langston in G107 if you have any questions or concerns

After School Activities begin next week!  The document below contains a list of what activities are currently available, and we expect more to be added soon!  Activities begin at 3:05 and conclude at 4:10 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and there are three different activity buses that will bring kids home.  These buses leave Holman around 4:20 and have to take a lot of kids throughout our entire attendance area, so it is difficult to tell what time kids will arrive home.  The bus stops are also not the same as regular routes, but we will do our best to get the kids as close to their home as possible.

If your student would like to participate in one or more of our clubs, please return this completed form below to Dr. Schnatmeier's office along with a one time $20 activity fee.  This fee covers most after school activities for the entire school year.  The form must be turned in and fee paid before kids can start the activity.  If you are currently experiencing a financial hardship and cannot afford the fee, please contact Dr. Schnatmeier (This email address is being protected from spambots. College Planning Night for all grades, Sept 6, 6:30-8pm, Special guests from MO Univ of Science & Technology, MO State Univ, and St. Louis Comm College; everything you need to know to prepare for college

College Visits begin next week with Murray State, Washington University, SCAD, St Louis Community College, and UMKC. 10-12 grades sign-up on SchooLinks under School Events, see Mrs. Luraschi if you need help signing up

Any student who wants to purchase a parking permit next school year (2023-2024) must have 12 hours of community service completed in order to do so. 

 

 Attention Freshmen! Would you like to be a leader for your class? Freshman class officer applications are available in the activities office next to the carpeted steps in the commons

 

 All class officers will have their first meeting on September 12th during homeroom in E203

 

Juniors & Seniors, it's time to apply to the National English Honor Society! The HARD application deadline is August 31 at 2:30 PM. Get an application form and more info from your English teacher, or see Ms. Raymond in Room D115 or Ms. Wills in Room D101.

 

Any Juniors or Seniors interested in applying for the National Honor Society should check the PHS website or see Mr Brueckmann in D202 for a link to the application. Applications are due by September 1st. 

 

The Bowling Club will be meeting at King Pin today at 3:30. for their first practice. If you are interested in joining the Bowing Club Please come. Practice is Free but there are some Fees for being Part of the League. See Mr. Langston for more information.
