The Pirates in Mr. Matt Loyet’s sixth grade social studies class participated in a treasure hunt today. Using specific coordinates and satellite mode on Apple Maps, they went outside and looked for gold coins Loyet had hidden around Holman Middle School.
“We’re doing a geography unit to start the year off right now and we’re learning about latitude and longitude,” he said. “I just thought this was a good way to have them use what they learned.”

The Pattonville High School Pride of Pattonville marching band and color guard won several top awards at their first competition in two years. They earned Best Musical Performance, Best Visual Performance, Best Drumline, Best Guard, 1st Place in Division, and Grand Champion of the entire competition.

Last week, our superintendent, Dr. Tim Pecoraro, announced he would retire at the end of the 2021-2022 school year. We know this is an important life decision and appreciate Dr. Pecoraro for providing the board of education with time to plan for the future.
