The human resources and teaching and learning departments partnered and created a Support Staff Leadership Academy. Today was the last meeting of the year. 

The goals of the program were to enhance the leadership skills of all support staff leaders, create a network for support staff leaders, support leaders to build dynamic teams and provide leaders with tactical skills to support challenges that may arise.

Staff members at Pattonville High School presented their MVP (Most Valuable Pirate) Awards to 123 students in grades nine through 12. Each staff member selected one outstanding student to receive an MVP medallion award during a special awards ceremony at the school on April 20. 

Senior Max McFarland was selected as an MVP for the third time. Twenty-one students were second time recipients and 101 were first-time recipients. 

The program was sponsored by the school's Renaissance program, which encourages a commitment to academic excellence based upon recognition of academic performance, attendance and citizenship.

The district's most prestigious honor, the Pride of Pattonville award recognizes up to 10 honorees from the Pattonville community. Honorees can be district staff, volunteers or others for outstanding service to the district.

The Pattonville School District received another clean bill of health in its annual audit by an independent auditing firm, Schowalter and Jabouri. In an update on the audit to the school board on April 11, Pattonville’s chief financial officer (CFO) Mary Jo Gruber told the board the district received an unmodified report. An unmodified report is the best a district can receive and means the district is fairly presenting its financial statements and maintaining good internal controls over district finances.
